Youth Group
Fellowship with other believers is an important aspect of any Christian’s life. In order to help youth develop relationships with one another, we at CCC provide various fellowship and youth group opportunities. We have three distinct, but related, types of events that we schedule regularly: youth group, service projects, and special events.
Weekly Youth Group
On Sunday evenings, we hold a youth group meeting from 6:30-7:30pm! Youth Group brings the high schoolers and middle schoolers together to study Scripture, play games, talk through life, and encourage each other. This time usually includes a message from the Youth Director and a group discussion. CCC Youth Leaders lead small group discussions and games as they build uplifting relationships with the students.
Youth Group meets weekly from 6:30-730pm. We meet at downstairs at Extraordinary Ventures (200 S. Elliott Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27517) each of the first three Sundays of the month. On the fourth Sunday, Youth Group is held at the home of a host family. This Fall, we will be studying the book of Hebrews and discovering the supremacy of Christ. For more details on upcoming meetings, please go to the Youth News link to your left, or contact Stephen Estes at stephen@cccpca.org.
Service Projects
At Christ Community Church, we believe acts of service to one another – both within our church body and in the larger community – are visible and necessary manifestations of Christ’s love. As a result, we offer youth in our church opportunities to serve in various venues throughout the year. Past service activities have included: renovating a local widow’s home, serving dinner to residents of the SECU Family House in Chapel Hill, and organizing and collecting donated items for a food drive. For more details on upcoming service projects, check the Youth News link to your left.
Special Events
Throughout the year we offer special fun events for all of our youth in grades 6-12. A sampling of past activities has included an outing to play putt-putt, a canoe trip down the Haw River, and a Christmas party. Because these events vary, please check the Youth News link to the left for the latest updates.
