Women

“Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” 1 Thessalonians 2:8

Our Women's Ministry is simply and profoundly women encouraging women. We have many ways for women at CCC to connect with each other and help each other understand how to love as Jesus loves.

Women’s Bible Studies

Thursday Morning Bible Study:
Beth Perry and Lori Stepp are leading a Bible study called Isaiah: The Lord Saves, written by Kathleen Buswell Nielson, every Thursday morning (9:45-11:30am) from September 2011- April 2012 at Beth's home. Childcare is available and coffee is abundant! Contact Beth Perry or Lori Stepp for more information.

“What a treasure we have in the book of Isaiah: God’s inspired word through his prophet; some of the most beautiful poetry in the Bible; a theological masterpiece (sometimes called the “Romans of the Old Testament”); a glimpse into God’s perspective on human history, a magnificent presentation of his redemptive plan … “ Kathleen Nielson, in Isaiah: The Lord Saves

Thursday Evening Bible Study:

Join Ruby Bea Peters at her home as she leads a group of women through a discussion on the current sermon series on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. Continue to study and apply the sermon instead of leaving it at the door! New additions to the group are always welcome! Contact Ruby Bea Peters with questions or for more information.

DELIGHT (monthly fellowship)

DELIGHT is the CCC Women’s Ministry’s attempt to help women in the church make 1 Thessalonians 2:8 a reality. We’ve designed DELIGHT to foster “life-on-life” experiences for women, giving them opportunities to interact, begin developing friendships and to reach out to friends. Each month, one or two women host a different event, either in a home or at an alternate location. DELIGHT events are open to women of all ages and stages!

Want to host an event? Contact Bethany Phillis with your name, proposed month and date of the event, location, and a general description of your event theme or idea.

Women’s Retreats

Every other year CCC hosts a women’s retreat – we get out of town, study the Bible and enjoy spending time with one another! Stay tuned for more information about our upcoming 2013 spring retreat! We will be traveling to the Trinity Center on the NC Coast in Pine Knoll Shores March 22-24, 2013.

Counseling and Mentoring

The CCC Women’s Ministry often bridges the gap for women in the church, connecting them to people and resources when needed. In the past, the Women’s Ministry and Counseling Ministry have teamed up to offer topic-specific studies like “Sex: Redeemed” to see what the Bible has to say for those women struggling with sexual sin and/or past sexual trauma. If you have ideas for ways the Women’s Ministry Team can help connect the riches of Christ to the realities of life for women in our church, let us know. Contact Bobbie Gervais or Gretchen Logterman with comments and questions or if you need a counseling or mentoring referral within CCC.
